YOUNGSTERS across the town will have a chance to see some of their favourite authors and illustrators come together for the first online children’s book festival on World Book Day 2012.
Jacqueline Wilson, Eoin Colfer, Cressida Cowell, Derek Landy and Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson are just some of the authors taking part in a series of performances for the Biggest Book Show on Earth as it is streamed to homes, schools, bookshops and libraries in Swindon on March 1.
To take part, visit www.worldbookday.com to register free and check your technical set-up before the day.
Young audiences from Swindon then have the chance to watch online and submit questions to the line-up while parents, teachers and librarians can download a full pack of resources and ideas to help children take part.
The event will air in two sessions: 9.30 to 10am for nursery and pre-school children and 11am-noon for older children.
