A PIZZA store is appealing for women who are getting down on one knee this leap year to come forward and reveal how they plan to pop the all-important question.

To celebrate 2012 being a leap year, the Papa John’s store in Victoria Road wants to hear from brides-to-be who are planning to make use of the tradition that allows women to propose to their man on February 29.

In return, the pizza chain is offering one lucky couple the chance to win their very own Papa John’s proposal meal, aiming to prove the theory that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.

Davood Daryan, owner of the store, said: “We’re really looking forward to hearing from women who are planning to propose to their other half this leap year.

“To give our hopeful brides a helping hand and make the occasion even more special, we will put together a proposal meal from the menu for both of them to enjoy.

“It will take a lot of courage for the men to say yes so we don’t want them doing it on an empty stomach. We just hope it is a yes.”

Blushing brides-to-be need to register their details by emailing Papa John’s and reveal how they plan to propose, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, including two large pizzas, two sides and a drink.
