A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with a drug and firearm offence following an armed police raid on Wednesday.
Joe Samuel Deacon, 31, of Eastcott Road, Swindon, was charged with possessing a Class B drug and possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
A 28-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug but was then released without charge.
Around 30 police officers, including a rifle team and a dog unit, took part in the raid at Eastcott Road around midday.
Mr Deacon will appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court on March 21.
