15.26pm: The torch has left Swindon! It will now carry on Cirencester, Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham today.

15.23pm: Crowd outside BMW erupt into a cheer as Paul Bennett comes into sight. Torch is now on final bearer before leaving the town.

15.15pm: Wiltshire Council leader, Jane Scott, said: “The atmosphere was once again fantastic and I saw so many happy and smiling people in each community enjoying the occasion in the beautiful sunshine. “It was wonderful to see the communities come together to celebrate this occasion, which we hope will leave a lasting legacy for many years to come.”

15.11pm: Torch has re-started and is on it's way to BMW. Torch-bearer Paul Bennett was nominated to carry the Torch for setting up Declan's Charity in memory of their son who died in 2010. The Torch will then be handed to the final torch-bearer outside the plant in the next few moments.

15.00pm: Torch will leave Swindon College in the next 15 minutes as it makes it's way through Gypsy Lane and Bridge End Road before heading out to Cirencester.

14.56pm: Reports that someone tried to grab the Olympic Torch as it made it's way into Swindon College but was rugby tackled to the ground by officials.

14.52pm: Temperatures today have hovered around the 24C mark with unbroken sunshine.

14.50pm: Steel band have started up outside BMW and local schoolchildren are sat on the lawn having a picnic outside.

14.40pm: Hundreds are gathering outside the BMW plant on Bridge End Road in anticipation for the second leg of the torch relay after lunch.

14.32pm: The final torch-bearer before the lunch break at Swindon College is Alistair Hubbard who has raised cash for charities including the Princes Trust.

14.25pm: Torch arriving at Swindon College.

14.22pm: Vincenzo Liguori has now taken the torch on the final stretch towards the college. He was nominated for his work with youth offenders and organising cultural events.

14.20pm:Fatos Gosturani, 26, from Swindon, was nominated for his commitment to his community. He has been working with local junior schools to run litter patrols and keep his community tidy. Mr Gosturani, who carried the torch through Calne, said: “It was amazing. It was quite nerve-wracking at the start and I was really excited. “I really enjoyed running though, there were so many people out supporting me and I felt very proud.”

14.18pm: When the torch leaves Swindon College it will travel along Gypsy Lane and then Bridge End Road ending the relay in Swindon.

14.13pm: Gareth Williams has now taken the flame and begins his relay past the County Ground. The torch is now going to pass along Great Western Way and North Star Avenue before getting to Swindon College where there will be a rest break of approximately one hour.

14.08pm Torch now heading back along Princes Street, before going along Clarence Street, Groundwell Road and Drove Road. Torch is about 30 minutes behind schedule.

14.05pm: Drogba's stretch is over and the torch is being handed over as the crowd do a massive Mexican wave.

14.00pm: Drogba's torch is lit and he is off - back up Commerical Road.

13.57pm:Leader of the council Rod Bluh says he is having a fantastic day and taking lots of pictures. Deputy leader of the council David Renard said he is really enjoying seeing all the young people getting involved.

13.55pm: Drogba waiting to take the torch on the next leg around Swindon. He is chatting to school children and some very excitable cheerleaders.

13.52pm: Crowd of 15,000 people in Wharf Green start screaming as torch enters town centre.

13.51pm: Drogba on stage in Wharf Green as torch comes into town centre. He laughs off suggestions he will move to STFC.

13.37pm: The police helicopter is hovering above the town centre.

13.44pm: The torch is making it's way into Victoria Road with tennis star Sam Hutt, from Cricklade, holding the flame. The crowd is going wild.

13.36pm:Excitement is building in Victoria Road as the crowds prepare for the arrival of the Torch. The gathering is three to four people deep and have been entertained by the Samsung and Coca Cola buses.

13.30pm: Torch arrives in Swindon - torch-bearer starts at the bottom of Kingshill Road.

13.24pm: Torch is now approximately 25 minutes late in arriving to Swindon.

13.19pm: Crowds growing at the bottom of Kingshill Road as the first torch-bearer gets ready to start te relay.

13.17pm: Some people in Wharf Green have admitted to being there since 6am this morning!

13.13pm: Torch-bearers have been dropped off at the bottom of Kingshill Road as the torch relay starts in Swindon.

13.04pm: Latest news is that 15,000 people are now in Wharf Green ready for Drogba's arrival within the hour. Hundreds have also lined County Road outside Swindon Town FC and at the bottom of Kingshill Road.

13.01pm: Ben Fox's mum Carol Hearne said: "Words cannot describe how proud we all are."

12.59pm: Torch nearly at Royal Wootton Bassett High Street. Crowd has started singing and waving flags.

12.45pm: Ben Fox will take the torch from Daisy Baker in Royal Wootton Bassett and the crowd has erupted with clapping and cheering.

12.40pm: Torch in Royal Wootton Bassett - thousands of people lining the streets and cheering. Bagpipes are also playing.

12.32pm:Crowds gathering in Westcott Place, Bath Road and Victoria Road in anticipation of the torch's arrival. Cricklade Town Council are out in force with flags to welcome torchbearer Sam Hutt who they nominated.

12.28pm: Drogba has got on a coach at Royal Wootton Bassett and is on his way to Swindon.

12.24pm: Swindon Samba Band have started in Wharf Green - hundreds now gathered there and getting in the party spirit.

12.20pm: Four torch-bearers in Wroughton are George Stockton, Ben Jones, Kathy Smith and Luke Dicker. Morris dancing has welcomed the torch to the village.

12.17pm: Torch reaches Wroughton and the sun is still shining! Four torch-bearers will carry the torch through the village and onto Royal Wootton Bassett.

12.15pm: Samsung have set up a promotional tent in Wharf Green for a party with Drogba!

12.13pm: Reports that someone has fainted at Wharf Green - medics on hand.

12.11pm: Carney Bonner takes flame and starts his run through the village.

12.08pm: Torch bearer Becci Berry, 39, from Coleshill, has started her run through Chiseldon. Crowd are cheering.

12.04pm: Carney said: "I am incredibly nervous but this is fantastic. Look how many people have turned out."

12.02pm: Carney Bonner ready to take torch in Chiseldon. Now three minutes ahead of schedule.

11.58am: Drogba in Royal Wootton Bassett talking to fans and posing for photos.

11.47am: 3,000 schoolchildren expected to turn out in Royal Wootton Bassett and town crier Owen Collier is already in action.

11.46am:Europen modern pentathlete champion Freyja Prentice begins second leg of the town relay, taking the torch from 59-year-old Swindon teacher Iain Prentice.

11.42am: inSwindon confirm Drogba will be on stage in Wharf Green at 1.30am to take Torch and then run the first 300m after it leaves the town centre.

11.41am: Olympic torch convoy heads towards Marlborough and there’s not an inch to spare in with the crowds now gathered to watch the torch parade now estimated at 6,000. People are watching from the top of St Peter’s Church tower, from shop windows overlooking the High Street and even from the flat roofs above some of the shops. Caroline Spindlow, headteacher of St Peter’s School, has just bought all her 212 students ice creams because it is so hot and Preshute School children have been promised one on their walk home.

11.38am: Torch is 20 minutes late according to police in Marlborough.

11.37am: People already lining Bath Road in Swindon - with an hour and a half to go.

11.33am: Hundreds have gathered in Chiseldon outside the Patriots Arms - just 25 minutes until Torch due in village.

11.35am: Less than an hour to go before Torch reaches Royal Wootton Bassett, hundreds of people lining the High Street. Pupils from St Bartholomews Primary School waving flags. Year 5 teacher Jen Wallace said: "We have got the whole school here. It is a once in the lifetime opportunity."

11.26am: Around 300 people already in Wharf Green as wheelchair basketball starts.

11.25am: Mayor of Swindon has been greeted in Wharf Green as the festivities kick off there.

11.18am: An estimated 5,500 people are lining Marlborough streets, among them children from St John’s, St Mary’s, St Peter’s, Preshute, Easton Royal and St Michael’s Aldbourne schools. Caroline Spindlow, head of St Peter’s School, which has a contingent of 200 children watching, said: “What a great day. This is one they will remember for the rest of their lives.”

11.14am: According to Wiltshire Police the Torch is running 14 minutes behind schedule.

11.11am: Torch-shaped vegetables being arranged in Royal Wootton Bassett.

10.59am: Just an hour to go before Torch reaches Chiseldon. Streets lined with people already and schoolchildren singing.

10.45am: The Torch is approximately 20 minutes late.

10.45am: The LOCOG advance party has arrived in Marlborough and has put up the Olympic flags outside the town hall. Marlborough Community Choir has taken up position outside the library to serenade the torch as it passes through.

10.40am: Drogba has tweeted that he will be carrying the flame in Swindon at 1.35pm. According to the Adver's calculations means he will be around the Curtis Street and Commercial Road area.

10.35am: Kids from Holy Rood are already lining the streets of Chiseldon with home-made torches.

10.35am: Torch making it's way through Chippenham - hundreds lining the streets.

10.30am: ‏@TelegraphSport reporting that Didier Drogba will run with the Olympic torch in Swindon at 1.30pm.

10.15am: Paralympic archer Kathy Critchlow-Smith is all set to carry the torch through Wroughton at 12.07pm. The five-time Olympian who has won one gold medal, two silver and a bronze has been selected as a Coca-Cola Torch Bearer. Speaking to the Adver this morning, she said: “I am a little bit nervous to be honest at this point. “It is fantastic to see so many people coming out and supporting the torch. “It is an honour to be one of those people , there are so many incredible stories.

10.10am: Torch approximately 18 minutes behind schedule as it starts in Chippenham

10.06am: Preparations for the first runner in Chippenham - local fireman Rob Warwick, 46 - now well underway.

9.58am:The Olympic Torch convoy is just coming off the M4 at Junction 17 for Chippenham.

9.30am: Crowds have started to gather in Chiseldon with just over two hours to go before the Torch arrives in the village. Torch-bearer Carney Bonner is expected through the village at 11.57am.

8.30am: Just hours to go before the Torch arrives in Chiseldon and the sun is shining. Forecast today is for unbroken sunshine so make sure you are wearing sun cream if you are heading out to join in the festivities. Bunting and flags lining streets in Old Town and some people already milling around the High Street in Royal Wootton Bassett.
