A FEMALE cyclist was airlifted to hospital yesterday after being knocked off her bike by a car in Highworth.
The woman, thought to be in her 20's, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with fractures to both legs.
She was in a collision with a car on the A361 shortly before 6pm.
A spokeswoman for the Great Western Ambulance Service said: "We sent two full ambulances and also the basics doctor.
"Hampshire Air Ambulance went to the incident. The patient had suffered open fractures to her lower legs.
"One of our staff members described her as serious but stable and she was flown to John Radcliffe."
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101.
