SWINDON North MP, Justin Tomlinson, has had his honeymoon interrupted to vote for David Cameron this afternoon in a Commons debate over his decision to 'clear' Jeremy Hunt.

The Conservative Party put out a three line whip to force MPs to vote on whether the Culture Secretary must face an independent investigation into claims he breached the ministerial code.

This is because Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister, has ordered Lib Dems not to oppose the motion brought by Labour which calls for an investigation into whether Mr Hunt misled Parliament over his handling of the BSkyB takeover bid.

Mr Tomlinson, who married fiancé Jo Wheeler in a 13th century chapel in Parliament on Saturday June 2, was preparing to leave the island of Mauritius, where he had been spending part of his honeymoon, when he got the call from his office to say he had to get back for the vote.

He flew back to the UK as planned today, however the vote has interrupted the rest of his honeymoon, which he hoped to spend with family until Friday.
