POLICE are still appealing for witnesses to the crash that claimed the life of popular teenager Costi Voulgaris.

Constantine Voulgaris, known as Costi, aged 19, from Swindon died in the collision that occurred on Marlborough Road, Old Town on June 14.

At approximately 0110am on Thursday, 14th June a silver coloured Vauxhall Corsa was being driven eastbound along Marlborough Road towards Coate Water. The vehicle left the carriageway to the nearside, colliding with a tree.

As a result of the collision Costi, who was the passenger in the vehicle, sustained multiple injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was also injured and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The road was closed for 6 hours to allow for collision investigation work, the recovery of the vehicle and repairs to the road surface.

Police Sergeant Chris Moore, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who thinks they have information that may assist us with this investigation. We would also like to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle in the local area immediately before the collision or saw what happened. You may not think it is relevant but we need the public’s help to establish the circumstances and any information will help us to do this.”
