Everything in the garden rosy as Vision4Wroughton's new project opens in Swindon

Wroughton residents are celebrating after a much anticipated garden project was unveiled.
The garden, named Willow Brook Garden by a competition winner, has come to fruition thanks to a £40,000 lottery windfall.
Schools, youth organisations and community groups have helped to turn the unloved patch of ground, which runs alongside the A4361 Devizes Road, into the closest thing the village has to a communal green.
The plans by the Vision4Wroughton community group have involved residents at every step and on Saturday the grand opening was attended by around 300 people.
The event started with a parade of flowers by Wroughton Infants School, before the announcement of the name. There was also entertainment by folk singer Talis Kimberley, Wroughton Silver Band, Ridgeway School pupils and Junior School Choir.
Vision4Wroughton member Brian Phillips said: “I hope all villagers can appreciate the devoted work which has gone on behind the scenes and, to all who have contributed in some way, thank you.”
