Adver is aiding Breakthrough breast cancer awareness in Swindon
OCTOBER is National Breast Cancer Action Month and to help raise awareness the Adver will be running a special supplement.
On October 16, we will run a 12-page supplement dedicated to Breast Cancer Action Month and to help highlight the exceptional work that Breakthrough Breast Cancer does in the town.
We will also be donating 1p from every paper sold on that day to the charity.
Throughout the month, we will have collection tins in the reception of our offices in Victoria Road, as well as numerous supermarkets and newsagents around the town.
We want to hear from anyone affected by breast cancer in our town, including survivors, families who have lost a loved one, fundraisers and anyone else affected by the disease.
As well as this, the Adver will also be including a special tribute page to those who have sadly lost their lives to breast cancer. Families who wish to remember their relatives in this way can submit a photograph of their loved one to mtompkins@ swindonadvertiser.co.uk along with a few words and in return, they will be asked to make a small donation to Breakthrough Breast Cancer through the Swindon Advertiser Just Giving page.
Photographs can also be sent to Michelle Tompkins, Newspaper House, 100 Victoria Road, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN1 3BE.
