Swindon Crown Court gives bail in letters case

Swindon Crown Court Swindon Crown Court

A MAN who is accused of sending malicious hand-written letters purporting to be from someone else has been released on bail.

Patrick Lewis is said to have sent the letters last year and signed them in another person’s name.

The 48-year-old, of Daniel Gooch House, is facing one allegation of perverting the course of justice last October.

No charges have been formally put to the defendant and he did not enter a plea at Swindon Crown Court.

Judge Euan Ambrose adjourned the case to November 30 and released Lewis on conditional bail.
