101 going strong
10:45am Friday 12th October 2012 in News
The old Wiltshire Police non-emergency 0845 408 7000 number has now been switched off and replaced by the national 101 service.
As part of the national roll-out last September, 101 went live in Wiltshire and across the south west. Since the start of this year, 101 has been live across all police forces in England and Wales.
One year on from its launch, Wiltshire Police is reminding people of the benefits of using 101 for non emergencies, as many people do not know their local police station number.
The 999 number is still the one to call for emergency incidents.
