European SME week seminar

A free one day event to launch European SME Week and promote business entrepreneurship across South West England will be held at the Leigh Court Business Centre, Bristol, on Thursday 7th May.

A day-long programme of seminars, hospitality and networking opportunities will inform delegates about the support that is available to small and medium sized businesses and enterprises (SMEs) at European, national and local level and how best to approach new markets and exploit emerging technology and commercial opportunities.

An Exhibition will showcase a range of SME business support organisations such as Business Link, GWE Business West, UK Trade & Investment and Enterprise Europe Network South West, providing delegates with the opportunity of meeting trade and business advisors, tax specialists, university research departments, legal experts and other specialists.

The event begins at 8am with a breakfast seminar entitled ‘Research, Development and International Collaboration - Driving your R&D Potential in the UK, Europe and Overseas’. This will reward early-birds with important information about R&D funding, tax credits, research grants and international collaboration.

Lunch-time seminars include ‘How to Win Tenders’, presented by procurement experts and business support agencies from the public and private sectors, followed by presentations on ‘New Markets and Business Partner Searching’.

Further information for delegates and exhibitors is available from Enterprise Europe Network South West Tel: 01275 370814 or email: info@enterpriseeuropesw.org.uk. Early booking is strongly recommended.
