The offer from GWE Business West, made available through the European Social Fund, is open to any firm with fewer than 50 employees.

Now, with the downturn beginning to bite and managers keen to ensure that every aspect of the business is performing to its optimum, Swindon-based business support organisation GWE Business West believes that the limited number of places will be quickly taken up.

Training is tailored to the needs of individual managers, who can select from the following essential leadership and management skills: l Customer Management l Setting and Controlling Budgets l Effective Leadership l Personal Effectiveness l Performance Management l Leading Change l Project Management l Recruitment & Retention l Health and Safety Delivery of the training is designed to be flexible – through bite-size workshops and ‘action learning sets’ where participants work in groups, studying their own actions and experience in order to improve performance.

These are supplemented by coaching and mentoring, online tutorials and a resource library.
