FORMER Pop Idol star Gareth Gates will be heading for the Wyvern Theatre in April with Boogie Nights, a celebration of 1970s music.
It’s apparently very good. Plenty of people tell me they feel they’ve been transported to a strange era of economic strife, job insecurity, food banks, swingeing cuts hitting the vulnerable hardest, and an entire generation of youth with little hope for the future.
So they’re going to see Boogie Nights in the hope that it’ll cheer them up.
