A FREE, women-only basic home electrical course aims to offer women the chance to learn some basic electrical safety from a female instructor in a relaxed environment.
The course is being organised by Gareth Hutchings who, with his sister Kate, runs a company called Aircrew.
“We both noticed that often we are called to jobs where the owner has to call a trader and pay them for something as simple as re-setting a switch or changing a fuse,” he said.
“This can be difficult for people on limited income and so a simple problem can be put off leading to difficulties at home, or at worst, a dangerous fault developing.”
There are 20 places available on the course which will take place on February 17 at Rudi’s, in Regent Circus from 7pm to 9pm. Everyone attending will receive a free set of tools.
Anyone interested should call Gareth on 0788 595 7121.
