INDEPENDENT Wiltshire opticians Haine And Smith have presented their annual awards to employees.
The top performing practice award was given to Marlborough Practice, managed by Malcolm Lee.
Senior partner Barry Smith said: “When presenting this award the partnership looks for a team that provides professional yet friendly service.”
The award for top optical adviser was presented to Lisa Moody, from Malmesbury Practice, for her friendly approach to patients. This award is given in memory of Rupert, Barry Smith’s middle son who was also training as an Optical Advisor when he died in an accident during 2001.
Top employee of the year was awarded to Devizes practice manager Ben Owen for showing outstanding enthusiasm and dedication in leading his team and providing excellent patient care.
And the 2015 Special Award was given to Steven Ward from Haine & Smith’s laboratory Kennet Optical, in Pewsey.
“Colleagues regularly mention his friendly and positive attitude, where nothing is too much trouble," said Barry.
