THE inSwindon Business Improvement District has been awarded an Industry Standard Accreditation from British BIDs – the professional industry body focused entirely on Business Improvement Districts.
The successful endorsement underlines the quality of what the inSwindon BID is delivering in the town, and how the BID is operating in a way that stakeholders would expect.
The British BIDs accreditation process provides an assessment of management and supervisory systems, and represents the industry standard to measure a BID’s quality management systems. By achieving accreditation, inSwindon BID stakeholders can be satisfied that the BID is well managed, has strong governance arrangements in place and that it complies with the legislation and regulations which govern it.
inSwindon BID manager Di Powell said: “We are delighted to have secured this status.
“Achieving this accreditation is an important milestone for us, as it measured our performance against recognised BID standards. It gives our members confidence that we have robust processes in place to meet their objectives to deliver our business plan.”
“Gaining accreditation recognises the efforts and commitment shown by the inSwindon BID team and Board of Directors and further highlights how to remain focused on our task of driving forward a strong town centre economy. We will continue to work hard to meet and exceed industry benchmarks.”
Only 24 of the UK’s 220 BIDs currently hold the British BID accreditation.
