Reshuffle at Swindon firm due to managing director's retirement plans.

Colin White, founder and Managing Director of Swindon Interiors and Chairman of G&W Contracting, has announced that, due to his retirement, he will stand down from the role at the end of May 2018.

As founder of both companies, Colin has enjoyed an extensive career in the electrical engineering and fit out industry, entering management at the young age of just 28.

Following a period of controlled growth for both companies Colin says “I’m happy to be stepping down at a time when both Swindon Interiors and G&W Contracting are displaying consistent and successful growth. Whilst I have been personally involved in over 100 live projects, credit is also attributed to the efforts of the other board members, and I have every confidence that my successors have equal capabilities to take the next 100 projects forward. I am proud to have been involved in the development of both companies.”

Colin is retiring to spend more quality time with his family. Whilst he will no longer be directly linked to Swindon Interiors and G&W Contracting, he is going to provide continued support and input to both companies as a consultant on a freelance basis, so will still be seen on location at times.

Swindon Interiors are delighted to announce the internal promotion of Richard Denoon to Managing Director, which will be implemented upon Colin’s retirement. With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Richard has been with Swindon Interiors since its inception in 2012 and is ideally placed to take the Company forward. Richard says “The role of Managing Director offers a great opportunity for me to progress Swindon Interiors. I am excited and proud to step into Colin’s shoes and I thank the team around me for their continued support.”

At the same time, Alex Blackmore has achieved a worthy promotion to Contracts Director, his continued development and experience within the industry, together with his can-do attitude, ensures future stability and success for himself and his team. Alex says “I am honoured to have been offered this opportunity. I have worked with Swindon Interiors since 2014 and continue to learn and develop new skills. I am looking forward to the continued growth and success, and wish Colin every happiness in his retirement.”

Mike Woodage and Steve Woodruffe remain in their positions as Project Directors, whilst Lynsey Moss becomes Project Manager. Dean Ockwell has achieved promotion from Senior Design Engineer to Contracts Director for G&W Contracting and says that he is also looking forward to exciting times ahead.

Swindon Interiors and G&W Contracting are both firmly established as market leaders in the fields of electrical engineering design and installation and cinema and auditorium fit outs, and continue to provide high quality services and expertise to their clients.
