A SWINDON-based business group has been named one of the best places to work by The Sunday Times.

For the fourth year in a row, Business West, based in Park House, beat competition from across the country to scoop the prestigious accolade.

Based on a nationwide survey of employees working at more than 900 companies, The Sunday Times ranked employers in terms of how they shape up in terms of perks, pensions, equal opportunities and engagement.

Phil Smith, Business West’s managing director, said: “People are everything at Business West, and to be recognised by the Sunday Times 100 Best Not-for-Profit organisations to work for four years in a row is fantastic.

“As a not-for-profit company with 200 staff, we aim to make this area the best place to live, learn and work. 21,000 businesses trust us to help them start, grow, innovate and trade internationally - as well as lobby government on their behalf, so it is vital that our people feel valued and that they do the right thing.”

He praised the “dedication and commitment” shown by staff to “ensuring the prosperity and success of the region”.
