A NEW unit at Rockhaven Park has been snapped up by a private investor, signalling confidence in Swindon’s commercial property market.

The unit, let to Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Ltd, was sold for £205,000 to the investor by Myddelton & Major who are seeing the sale as win for the location as an industrial centre for high profile trading businesses.

Myddelton & Major associate Rachael Wythe said: “Rockhaven is a fast-growing new-build development on a Swindon trade park and we are increasingly finding investors wanting to add properties there to their portfolios.

“The unit is let to Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Ltd and the sale represents a net initial yield of 7.37%.

“This demonstrates ongoing confidence in the commercial property market, especially due to the shortage of new build units allied to increasing demand.”

Rockhaven Park in East Swindon was finished in January with 19 units in total, ranging from 1,500 sqft up to 3,125 sqft.

Since it was finished businesses including Morrells Wood Finishes, which has more than thirty branches across the UK and carry the royal warrant, Solatek, an IT firm which supports customers in 16 countries, and The Rug Shack, have set up shop in the modern warehouse units.
