A LEADING window and door manufacturer has chosen Swindon to open its new depot bringing jobs and investment into the town.

Nationwide Windows Ltd, who are a commercial provider of windows and doors mostly within the social housing sector, have opened the new 4,000 sq ft depot on the Techno Trading Estate, with a total investment of £187,000 and employing 32 staff.

Daryl Cashmore, Operations Director at Nationwide Windows Ltd comments: “In 2016 we opened a new depot in Cheltenham which has allowed us to grow our presence and win significant contracts with Sovereign Housing and Aster Group. This has provided us with the opportunity to further invest in this region with the opening of the new Swindon depot.

“The region’s housing market is also very buoyant, as buyers and investors are seeking greater opportunity outside of London, particularly in the south and west of England. According to research conducted by home buyer Quick Move Now and Home.co.uk in 2017, Swindon came third in the survey of lowest average number of days property spends on the market in Britain’s towns and boroughs."

This is the firms seventh depot, with its HQ in Rugby where it manufacturers the glass frames and doors.
