A TRAINEE solicitor at Thrings has been appointed chair of the Junior Lawyer Division of the Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Law Society.

Scott Robins has been appointed to engage more junior practitioners into the regional society which provides academic and practical support to those in the industry.

Scott will manage events, such as the upcoming Cost Case Management Conference, to be held at Thrings’ Swindon office on June 28 in conjunction with Paragon Costs and Guildhall, which will give participants the opportunity to question experts on recent changes in the law.

Scott said: “The legal profession is constantly changing in ways that will impact the future of the legal profession. With so many law firms and in-house lawyers in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, the area is rich in legal experience.

“My job will be to bring experts and junior professionals together to share this local know-how, giving us the tools to deliver an even better service to our regional clients. I thoroughly look forward to engaging more junior lawyers in this active law society.”
