TONIGHT is the busiest night of the year for me - as I'm sure you all know - but I wanted to leave a message for all the boys and girls in Swindon.

My reindeers and I will be flying around the world and, thanks to a little Santa magic, will be leaving presents under the tree and at the end of the bed for everyone who is on the nice list this year. And I'm sure you are one of them!

Christmas is my favourite time of year - well, I couldn't say anything else could I? I'm Santa Claus. It's such a magical time when the whole family can come together to celebrate and spend time together.

And while presents, decorations and lovely food and drink are nice, it is spending time with the ones that you love that is the most important thing about Christmas.

So before ripping the wrapping paper off your presents, make sure you all take time to hug one another and share a thought for thoses who cannot be there with you.

Right, I can hear Rudolf stamping his hooves and the elves loading up the sleigh so I better be off.

Don't forget to go to sleep nice and early so I can deliver your presents - and if you're lucky you may even hear the sound of sleighbells in the sky as I pass over.

Oh and if you could see your way clear to leaving out a mince pie or two, and perhaps a carrot for Rudolf and his colleagues, I’d be ever so grateful.

Merry Christmas everyone!
