ATTACK victim Jason Edwards, who was found slumped in a doorway with serious head injuries, has now recovered enough to speak to police.

Mr Edwards, 42, who was in an induced coma for nearly a month after the attack in The Brittox, Devizes, in the early hours of Saturday, September 27, has been moved from Southmead Hospital, Bristol, to the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

But it is understood that father of two Mr Edwards will not be well enough to give a full account of what happened for some time.

Two young women and a man, all from the Devizes area, have had their bail extended.

A police spokesman said it was unlikely that any decision on prosecution will be made until the new year.

The women aged 20 and 22 and a man of 26, who all know each other, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Mr Edwards, who lives in the Spitalcroft area of Devizes, works as a driver for a Bristol firm.
