A PIZZA takeaway manager from Corsham is celebrating after winning £1m and an all-expenses paid luxury trip to Australia.

Michael Marshall, 20, plans to buy two homes with his EuroMillions Mega Friday winnings – one for himself and a new one for his parents – and replace his 20-year-old Ford Fiesta.

Mr Marshall, who bought his winning ticket from Pickwick Papers in Corsham, discovered he’d won the life-changing prize last Friday.

He spent the rest of the evening checking and rechecking his numbers with his girlfriend Kelly Larter.

He said: “I couldn’t stop laughing – my girlfriend thought I was joking.

“We had a bit of a late night on Friday, celebrating and talking about how to spend the money.”

Mr Marshall, who worked at Stone Willy’s Pizza, handed in his notice as soon as Camelot confirmed his win.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, he hopes to see his team play more often now that he won’t be working weekends.

He said: “I’ve given up work while I work out what I want to do career-wise but I will return to working eventually.”

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw that I’d won – in fact, I still can’t.”

The couple are planning to take their all expenses paid holiday in the New Year.

They will fly business class to Australia before spending two weeks visiting some of its most famous landmarks including the Sydney Opera House, Ayres Rock and the Great Barrier Reef.
