ELECTION NIGHT: New make up of council revealed
4:05am Friday 4th May 2012 in Election news 2012
THE Conservatives have managed to keep control of the council - with a majority of one.
It was a tense night for everyone in the counting hall with some surprises along the way.
The final make up of the council for the next two years is:
Conservatives - 29 councillors
Labour - 24 councillors
Lib Dems - four councillors.
Those who received the most votes in each ward will represent the area for four years, those who came in second will stand for three years and those who had the third highest votes will stand for two years.
