Milton Brought To Life

The only thing I remember from studying John Milton at university is that he dictated Paradise Lost to his daughters after he’d gone blind. So it was with some interest that I went along to the Arts Centre last night to listen to professional poetry performer Lance Pierson.

TO my mind, poetry readings should be intimate affairs. A dimly lit café, with the poets sat on a stool reading from their notebook to the audience who are sipping their wine or cappuccino.
