The bull on the loose between Calne and Lyneham this morning was in fact a cow, say Wiltshire Police.

And the animal has since been destroyed by trained officers after becoming highly destressed and placing members of the public at significant risk of danger.

The loose bull on the Calne to Lyneham road is causing a headache for police officers, who can't currently find it on the road, or in the field.
