A replica firearm believed to be connected to this morning's armed robbery has been recovered.

The weapon was found inside a bag on Bridge Street in the town.


All lanes now re-opened on that earlier M4 crash near Junction 15. One person taken to Great Western Hospital and another treated at the scene.

Accident on the M4 near junction 15 - An Audi has gone into the central reservation and another car collided with the back of it at  1.23pm. Two lanes blocked causing significant tailbacks.


Two lanes of the M4 westbound between Junction 15 and Junction 16 are currently closed due to an accident. Queueing traffic. More updates here.

More details on the raid at the bookmakers - the man ran into Ladbrokes, threatened a female cashier and then stuffed hundreds of pounds in cash into his rucksack before fleeing. Officers are yet to trace the suspect and are appealing for information. Call 101.
