Tributes have been paid to drummer Gerry Hunt, who lost his battle with lymphoma on Monday.


A team of Wiltshire Police and Environment Agency officers cracked an illegal waste dumping site at Cricklade on July 9. A local male in his 70s is assisting officers with their enquiries. During the search, a stolen mini tractor was recovered and a male in his 40s has been reported for a handling offence.


Nile Ranger has been ordered to pay £2,400 in compensation. He was also fined £750.

Nile Ranger will face trial at Swindon Magistrates Court today after denying kicking in a door at his flat in Gordon Gardens earlier this year. The damage caused is believed to have been to the value of £2,000. More details to follow.



All lanes are now open on the M4 following the earlier incident.


One lane of the M4 is closed westbound between J16 and J17 due to a broken down vehicle.
