Brother and sister Rukhsana and Imran Dastigar are facing jail after pleading guilty to taking part in a benefit scam worth almost £25,000.

Rukhsana , 43, of Torrington Court, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of benefit fraud. Her brother Imran, 38, of Carstairs Avenue, admitted to creating false documents to support her claim for housing benefit.



Swindon Advertiser: Merseyside Police voted second most 'gay-friendly' force in UK

Tomorrow at 3pm, Wiltshire Police will be lowering the flag at HQ and flying the LGBT colours all weekend in support of Swindon and Wiltshire Pride.


Police are currently in attendance at a single road traffic collision on the A303 at Chicklade. Delays are expected. Avoid the area if possible.

Wiltshire Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a fatal crash on the A342 close to Wedhampton on Tuesday.  The 79 year old driver has now been formally identified as Frank Edwin Shipway from Devizes. Call 101 with information.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the B4019 Cricklade Road at the junction with the A361 in Highworth yesterday at 1.34pm. It involved a white Suzuki Alto and two pedestrians. Call 101.
