SUPERFAST broadband is now just a click away for many Swindon businesses.

Swindon is now included in the Government's Superfast connected Cities scheme - a £40 million, UK-wide initiative funded by Central Government - that gives small and medium sized businesses the chance to receive a grant of up to £3,000 to help them either install superfast broadband or boost their current broadband speeds.

The availability of grants from April could give many small and medium-sized Swindon businesses the support they need to make the most of superfast broadband and flourish. This could then open up more investment and jobs in future.

If your business is in Swindon postcodes: SN1, SN2, SN3, SN4, SN5, SN6, SN7, SN8 and you’re a small or medium-sized business (SME), a social enterprise or a charity - you will most likely qualify for funding.

Grants can be used to provide solutions across a range of technologies, including but not limited to Wi-Fi, Fibre and Ethernet connections.

Wiltshire based Associated Networks (www.anlx.com) is ideally placed to assist business in Swindon to take advantage of the Voucher Scheme.

Tim Bailey, Managing Director of ANLX comments "The Voucher Scheme lowers the bar for local businesses to get on board with Superfast Broadband, and ANLX not only makes installation quicker & easier we also manage the installation with an onsite engineer and provide an enterprise class Cisco Router plus we're just around the corner should you need us."

Culture Secretary Sajid Javid said: "This is fantastic news for Swindon as we know how important a fast broadband connection is for businesses across the UK. We want to make sure that small businesses have the technology they need to compete in the digital age. This scheme will help tens of thousands of small businesses around the UK and I urge all Swindon businesses to apply for a voucher from April 2015 onwards."
