POLICE are trying to trace a Good Samaritan who broke up a fight in Cricklade between two men.
One of the men was holding a young child during the incident, and police are keen to know more.
The incident occurred at around 4pm on Saturday, June 20, when the fight broke out in the middle of the High Street.
PC Dave Canavan, community beat manager for Cricklade, appealed for witnesses to come forward.
“Police are appealing for a man Good Samaritan who intervened in a fight between two males,” he said.
“The incident took place on the High Street in Cricklade at approximately 4pm on Saturday, June 20. One of the males concerned was holding a child at the time.
“Police would like to make contact with the man Good Samaritan because we believe he could provide police with further information about the incident.”
