A GROUP of students at a town performing arts group are celebrating after receiving top billing in their latest theatrical examinations.

The three students at Stagecoach Theatre Arts Swindon have been celebrated by the group after each achieving 100 per cent in their recent exams.

Talented pupils from the stage school train each term towards London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts exams - the examining board known as LAMDA.

Results from their spring term examinations have now come back and seen two students receive merit awards, while 12 aspiring performers achieved the highest level of distinction. Of these three students went the extra mile and managed to achieve 100 per cent in their exams.

Charlotte Waller achieved 100 per cent in her Grade 1 Musical Theatre, Joanna Miller also achieved 100 per cent in her Grade 4 Acting while Jay Bradfield took two exams – Grade 3 Devising Drama and Grade 2 Musical Theatre and gained 100 per cent in each.

Stagecoach Theatre Arts Swindon Principal, Sheryll Fox said she could not be more proud of her students. She said: Each term we run our own private LAMDA centre where the children can take either individual, or groups exams and we are used to getting great results, but this time just topped the bill! I am so proud of how hard all of the children worked towards these exams."
