TWO men arrested in connection with the crash that Swindon woman Jane Thompson died in have been re-bailed for a third time while investigations continue.
Ms Thompson, 54, who lived in the Redhouse area was fatally injured on Thursday, June 9 as she walked on the pavement near Savernake Hospital in Marlborough, next to the A4.
The incident happened at 5.30pm on Thursday June 9; two cars – a blue BMW 328 and yellow Seat Leon Cupra – were travelling towards Froxfield when the BMW left the carriageway and collided with Ms Thompson.
In the wake of the tragedy two men, one aged 24 and the other 27 both from the Marlborough area, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
They have been re-interviewed and re-bailed with conditions to go back to Gablecross Police Station at the end of October.
“Our enquiries continue,” a police spokesman said.
