THREE fire crews from across Swindon raced to deal with a garage fire in Nythe this afternoon.
Firefighters from Westlea, Swindon and Stratton were called just before 5pm to reports of the blaze in a block of garages in Kimmeridge Close.
Two breathing apparatus wearers used one hose reel jet to put out the blaze which Westlea watch manager Tim Elliott described as "well-developed".
He said: "This was a domestic garage fire and we do not yet know the cause.
"The fire was extinguished quite quickly and thankfully no one was hurt.
"Now it is about making sure everything here is safe."
Police were also called but only to help fire crews contain the scene.
