Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a handbag was stolen from a car on Cherbury Walk, Swindon.
A police spokesman said: "Around 7.30am on Thursday June 29 an unknown offender smashed the front passenger window of the Fiat 500 and took a black handbag containing a purse with bank cards. The owner had only briefly parked up so she could go back in to her home to collect something.
"The bag was subsequently found but the purse and cards were gone."
Officers have now released a CCTV image of the man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.
Anyone who can identify the person in the photos or heard or saw anything suspicious in this area at this time is asked to contact PC Sarah Gagen on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
