Lorraine Chase will switch Christmas lights on

CHRISTMAS will be up and running in the town centre with the switch on of festive lights this week.

The Christmas Illuminations at Wharf Green will be on Thursday November 19. From 6.30pm BBC Wiltshire’s Sandy Martin will be under the Big Screen to get the celebrations underway with help from Swindon mascots and Children in Need’s Pudsey Bear. Then Lorraine Chase, pictured, who will star as the Wicked Fairy in the panto Sleeping Beauty, will press the button at 7pm to turn on the illuminations and set off the fireworks.
