A WOMAN was left with facial injuries after she was assaulted.

The incident happened outside the shops in The Circle, Pinehurst, at around 7.30pm last Wednesday.

As a result, she received injuries to her face and a sprained left shoulder.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with short brown hair, wearing dark coloured jeans and a jumper.

Police said there were people milling around in that area at that time.
