Pop singer Alice Offley, formerly with the band The Mentalists, has just completed a video for her new single, Something Beautiful, on location in her home town of Swindon.
“I have a particular enthusiasm for Wiltshire, being that Swindon is my home town and I like to support my roots,’’ said Alice, who now lives in London.
The video was shot at 1am on Halloween night in Swindon. She is now known as Meow, the singing keyboard player, and has just finished her debut album which is due for release in the New Year.
The singer has decided to throw down the gauntlet for DJs, producers, students and music makers to have a go at a remix of her single. The best interpretation will win a new music video made for them and their track by Hamiltongreenfilms.
Alice said: “Music makers can download the acapella vocal and create the song in any style they choose. My music is twisted piano pop with underground beats and basslines.’’
Anyone wanting to have a go at the remix competition should register at hamiltongreenfilms.com to receive the track.
