FANS of Ed Sheeran are ‘out of time’ to get their hands on tickets for the star’s concert at the Oasis.
Tickets sold out within hours of going on sale yesterday after the ginger-haired pop sensation announced the new date on Thursday.
Ed has added additional dates to his forthcoming UK autumn tour, which includes the Oasis Leisure Centre on Wednesday, October 24.
The singer, who shot to success with his number one debut album ‘+’ last year, originally planned to play a total of 14 dates across the UK, but he has now announced he will play extra dates.
This is the second time the star has played in Swindon after leaving his mark on the town last year performing a sell-out gig at the Victoria Pub in Old Town.
By 10.30am, many of the agents selling tickets for the gig had on their websites that they had already sold out.
“We are really pleased to have him coming here and we’re pleased the tickets have sold so well.”

The Oasis still had tickets available in the afternoon but expected them to go by the end of the day.
Michelle Jones, programmes and events organiser at the Oasis, said: “A lot of the agents have sold out of tickets already. We have only just managed to get ours online but we are expecting to see them sell out by the end of the day.
“He was not supposed to be performing here originally but his dates for the tour sold out so quickly he added dates including this one because we were on the reserve list.
“We are really pleased to have him coming here and we’re pleased the tickets have sold so well.”
The ticket sales did not get off to the best start yesterday morning, though, with many customers left confused as the main website selling tickets, www.kililive.com, had an error on its page.
When people clicked for Oasis tickets they were directed to tickets for Ed Sheeran’s Reading gig.
The problem was soon rectified and Ed Sheeran’s manager, Stuart Camp, tweeted: “Problem on the site has been fixed, just checking re anyone who's bought the wrong tix.”
Anybody who bought tickets for the wrong venue should email info@kililive.com with their reference number, full name and a daytime telephone number and they will rectify the mistaken purchases.
