A 17-YEAR-OLD man was left with a cut across his face following an assault in Walcot.
The incident took place in Marlowe Avenue at 6.30pm on Monday. The teenager was assaulted by an unknown male who cut him across the face with a sharp instrument.
Following the attack, the male with the weapon headed off in the direction of McColl’s newsagents.
The attacker is described as being white, 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall and of stocky build.
He was wearing a navy blue hooded top with white drawstrings which had a white symbol on one side of the chest. It is believed to be either a Puma or Slazenger motif.
The attacker was also wearing a black or navy blue bandana with white symbols on it across the lower half of his face. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward, as well as anyone who has information about the attack.
They should contact the duty Swindon CID team on 101 or call Crimestoppers, where information can be left anonymously, on 0800 555111.
