Going extra mile could win £1,000 for Swindon champions
10:04am Thursday 12th July 2012 in News
A SWINDON pub restaurant is on the lookout for local people who give their all to support future sporting talent – and offering a £1,000 prize to a true Champion of Champions.
The Cold Harbour, in Ermin Street, part of the Chef and Brewer chain, is looking for people to nominate proud Swindon parents who put their kids first, a colleague that’s always going the extra mile or a committed coach in the community. The pub has teamed up with Elaine Petch, mother of Olympic medal-winning gymnast Louis Smith, in a bid to recognise and reward the time, effort and money that people like Elaine dedicate to support other people’s sporting dreams.
One overall winner will win £1,000 cash and the person who nominated them will win a party for 10 at Chef and Brewer.
Sharon Kemnitz, general manager at the Cold Harbour, said: “It might be a parent who drives hundreds of miles to take their kids to training, or someone who has spent their whole life running a local sports club.”
To nominate, log on to www.chefandbrewer.com or www.facebook.com/chefandbrewer
