Nearly 900 people have battered their way into the record books by flipping pancakes.
With Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Day, just under a week away, 890 people broke the world record for flipping pancakes simultaneously, the University of Sheffield said.
The previous record of 405 people was smashed by Sheffield residents flipping their pancakes at the same time for at least 30 seconds.
A statement on the university's website read: "Thank you to everyone who came down to the Endcliffe Village on Wednesday February 15 2012 and took part in The Big Flip.
"890 people from across Sheffield took part in the world record and all flipped their pancakes at the same time.
"This means we didn't just beat the world record of 405 people - we smashed it!"
