STAFF from Warneford School, in Highworth, helped to raise more than £2,000 for the British Heart Foundation when they cycled from London to Brighton.
Last month the team of Wicked Warneford Wonder Bikers – made up of existing and former staff and students – took part in the 54-mile challenge from the capital to raise money for the charity.
They were joined by crowds of more than 28,000 for the gruelling, hilly course.
In a message on the team’s Just Giving page, a spokesman said: “Well, we did it! We all risked life and limb to cycle the 54 miles along with 28,000 others from London to Brighton.
“All of the Warneford Wonder Bikers would like to thank everyone for their generous support which has enabled us to exceed our target – a huge thank you.”
The London to Brighton bike ride for the British Heart Foundation is one of the most iconic city to coast cycling challenges around.
The British Heart Foundation funds research, education, care and awareness campaigns.
