STUDLEY Grange Butterfly World near Wroughton has some cute new arrivals as part of its continued support of rare breeds.

The centre has just been given a family of British Saddleback Pigs.

The sow and 10 piglets, which are just a week old, are on loan to Studley Grange Butterfly World from Muddy Lane Pigs in Chippenham.

They will be enjoying life in their enclosures throughout the school holidays and visitors will be able to learn about why the breed is rare and the importance of other rare breeds.

British Saddleback Pigs were created in the 20th century from the amalgamation of two other breeds, the Essex and Wessex Saddleback.

They are hardy and noted for being good mothers.
