ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Officers with the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Neighbourhood Policing Team dealt with two men who were thought to be drunk in a public place in the town.
They found the first one intoxicated in the alley near The Angel Hotel. It was discovered that he had failed to attend court to answer to other offences, so they arrested him and he is now waiting in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
The other ‘drunk’ man was found in the bushes by New Road Play Park by a member of the public. Officers established that the man was on medication which made him drowsy and unsteady on his feet.
Officers then took him to his home for safety.
