VISUALLY-IMPAIRED people in Swindon are being reminded that they can receive a weekly digest of news and features for free.
Swindon Talking News (STAN) is a local charity providing a weekly audio service for visually impaired people.
It is produced on a memory stick, which is posted to listeners, and contains local news items and features of general interest including sport, local history, interviews, podcasts, gardening and much more.
The service costs nothing to the listener and if someone does not have the facilities to listen to the memory stick, STAN can lend them a player, also free of charge.
If you or someone you know would like to receive this service, please get in touch via email at stan@swindontalkingnews.org.uk, or leave a message on the answerphone at 01793 522511.
