A YOUNG writer who has received rave reviews for her early work will be signing copies of her latest novel at the Central Library tomorrow.

Nikita Lalwani, who has been described as one of the most exciting young authors in the country, will be at the Regent Circus library on Tuesday from 7.15pm to talk about her work.

Nikitia has received glowing reviews from the likes of The Guardian, The New Statesman and The Washington Post.

Born in Rajasthan and raised in Cardiff, her first novel Gifted was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize 2007, shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award and the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year. In June 2008 Nikita won the Desmond Elliot Prize for New Fiction.

Her second novel The Village (2013) is published by Penguin in the UK and Random House in the USA. It has received excellent reviews and has already been selected as one of eight novels for the Fiction Uncovered campaign for the best of British fiction.
