SWINDON Town Ladies entertain Exeter City on Sunday, a table-top clash in the Women’s Premier League South West Division One.

Exeter are currently in third place, four points behind second placed Town but with a game in hand and the fixture represents a chance to put some distance between themselves and their fellow pacesetters from Devon.

Last season the Town won in Exeter 4-1 but lost the home fixture 2-1. Ladies boss Steve Robertson is hoping that the fixture represents an opportunity to get over the disappointing draw at Southampton last week.

“I’m hoping the team would bounce back and get back into winning ways again. Exeter are always a strong side and last season finished runners up in the League. Despite an indifference performance last week everyone is still very positive.”

The Town have included the former Nottingham Forest player Meg Vella in their squad but are without Laura Morgan who was injured in last Sunday’s draw at Southampton.

Those wanting to see Town ladies clash with Exeter can catch it at Fairford’s Cinder Lane ground, kick-off is at 2pm.
